In the recent survey of DLSU students which was conducted immediately after the 2016 SEND INBOUND program, 100% of the students agreed that the SEND Program should continue in our university because of two main factors, which addresses their needs as students of International Studies Major in Japan Studies: (1) To understand better Japan's culture and its people and; (2) To improve their Japanese Language Proficiency. According to students’ answers, through this program, they were able to find a more meaningful journey in their learning. In all honesty, most of my students chose this course simply because of their interest in Japan's culture, specifically, anime, manga, J-pop, J-drama among others. They are interested to learn the language and wanted to understand better and use the language in the future. But when they start learning the language inside the class, most of them gets frustrated because they realized that Nihongo is not easy, there are a lot of things to memorize, kanji is complicated, and they claim they never heard the things we are discussing in the class, from the anime or drama they are watching or from the songs they are listening. Our students whose course is International Studies Major in Japan Studies Program, are required to take 21 units of Japanese Language and another number of units for other subjects like Japanese Government, Japanese history, Japanese Literature,
