However, since all Japanese language courses are categorized by levels, it is recommended that you take the test in order to register for courses that match your level during the course registration period. Please note that dropping courses after the course registration period due to unsuitable level is NOT allowed at all. A I have already taken an external test such as the JLPT, so do I need to take the CJL Level Check Test? Even if you have taken another test, we recommend that you take the CJL level check test. This test is Waseda University’s own test. Therefore, its results cannot be comparable to a level rated by other tests. Q A Can I take a course at a higher or lower level than the level indicated by the result of the CJL Level Check Test? Q Yes, you can. Your level determined by the CJL level check test is the “Recommended Level”. However, there are precautions when taking courses above or below your test result, so please check “5. CJL Level Check Test” and Appendix① in this guidebook carefully. A I applied for an ID&PW for the “CJL Level Check Test_Grammar & Vocabulary,” but I forgot to apply for an ID&PW for the “CJL Level Check Test_Kanji.” What should I do? Q You can take both tests “CJL Level Check Test_Grammar & Vocabulary” and “CJL Level Check Test_Kanji” with the same ID and Password issued. A Q My computer is frozen due to error during the test. You can continue taking the test from the frozen page by using the same ID and Password. Please apply for new ID and Password and try again if it shows your ID and Password are invalid. In this case, please retake the test from the beginning. A Q When and how can I check my test score? Your test score is displayed on the screen after you finish the test. You can download your score as PDF data as well. If you forget to check your score, you can do so by re-logging into the test-taking page. A Q I am not satisfied with my score. Can I retake the test?
