Center for Japanese Language students may register for the courses offered by other undergraduate schools and centers “up to 4 credits” and “up to 2 courses” per semester. However, please note that the credits you earned from those courses are not counted as the ones to complete the program. *Only「⽇本語教育科目」at Global Education Center (GEC) are counted as the credits for the completion. (p.41) A If you register for the courses from other undergraduate schools and centers, you need to read the “University-wide Open Courses Guidebook” (only in Japanese) issued by the GEC. Please check the list of courses offered by other undergraduate schools and centers on the GEC website and the websites of each school and center. What should I do? You CANNOT register for multiple courses taking place on the same day and period. For undergraduate/ graduate students, the courses offered by your own school must be given priority over the Japanese language courses. Q A Q Is course registration on a first-come, first-served basis? No, it is not. If the number of applicants exceeds the class capacity, the computer system will randomly select the students to be registered. If you were not selected to be registered for a class, “Over Enrolled” will be displayed on the Web registration screen. So, please confirm your registration result. A Q Do I have to do the 2nd or 3rd course registration? You have three chances to register for Japanese language courses, from the 1st to 3rd course registration. If all the courses you applied for result in “Registered” in the 1st registration and fulfill your required number of credits, you do not need to register in the 2nd and 3rd registration. Please note that you will not be able to add and drop any courses after the 3rd registration period. A Q Your ID and Password will be sent to the email address you entered after approval. It may take some time to issue ID and Password, so you are supposed to apply for them in advance. Also, if your e-mail address is incorrect, you will not receive a notification email. In this case, please apply again. A Q I CANNOT log in with my ID and Password. There is a possibility that the test login URL was incorrect.
